Description:

Thomas Martell will unpick the seven practical evidence-based recommendations—that are relevant to all pupils, but particularly to those struggling with their literacy. He has reviewed the best available international research and consulted experts to arrive at key principles for effective literacy teaching. We will look at how to put this evidence into practice focussing on vocabulary and teaching outdoors. There will also be a change to shop for interventions at the intervention market place.

Outcome:

An understanding of the best research available in primary literacy and how to put the research in place.

Audience:

The event is targeted at Literacy Leads, Deputy Heads, Head Teacher or senior teaching staff. Focusing on primary including EYFS.
