Outline:

This training session is part of the Early Years Teaching and Learning Training Framework and Penny Cartwright (EYFS Consultant) will be leading the session on how to support children to make rapid progress in mathematical development.

Description:

Aims and Objectives
During this session participants will have opportunities to:
• consider how to maximise the opportunities for mathematical learning throughout the environment, both indoors and outdoors
• explore the role of the adult in planning and extending opportunities through adult led and child initiated experiences
• examine how everyday routines and the organisation can support mathematical learning
• explore a range of practical ideas and resources to support, motivate and engage children (and practitioners!)

Outcome:

Practitioners will feel confident in supporting children to make rapid progress in mathematical development

Audience:

Priority will be given to Early Years Practitioners from Schools and PVIs, however, Childminders are also welcome to apply
