The conference will cover:
• Achievements from the All Talk project’s work with settings
• Research and best practices updates on early language development
• Special guest keynote speaker Bhavna Acharya – Specialist Speech and Language Therapist
-Bhavna Acharya is a Speech and Language Therapist with over 20 years’ experience working in the NHS. Over the last five years she has coupled her work in health with education and currently works as an Early Years Language Consultant for Early Years teams, devising and delivering early language development training/programmes to suit the needs of parents and practitioners in early years settings and school nurseries. She aims for meaningful, realistic and practical training which spreads the key messages of adult-child interaction and communication development to as wide an audience as possible.

Description:

Join us for this exciting conference to celebrate the work of the All Talk project. We will be sharing recent research and best practice on early language development. You can take part in interactive workshops to help develop your own skills and practice in supporting children’s communication and language skills. Our keynote speaker will share her work with early year’s settings to help you to embed good practice. There will also be a chance for you to choose from our range of free resources to take back to your setting to help all your children grow into confident communicators.

Outcome:

Participants will gain up to date knowledge on early language development and practical ways to engage parents. They will find out about ways to make their setting communication friendly and be able to take home some free resources from the All Talk project.
