Special Educational Needs and Inclusive Practice (SEN) Foundation Degree
This course will equip you with higher level skills and a sound knowledge of areas relevant to your work including local and national statutory frameworks, learning, teaching and development within the field of special educational needs and inclusive education.
You will reflect upon multi-professional perspectives and working with families and carers with opportunities to explore and develop an in-depth understanding of safeguarding, child protection, ethics and diversity.
Flexible study will enable you to engage with a wide range of reading and you will develop essential skills of academic writing, planning your studies, engagement with research and critical reflection and analysis of both your practice and reading.
The cost of the course is £5170 per year. (Two year course)

Key Features of the degree:
Designed in conjunction with employers, partner colleges and key stakeholders
Study four 30 credit modules in Year One and four 30 credit modules in Year Two
A flexible route to higher education
Continuing to work at least 16 hours per week balancing other commitments
Starting in September, SEN runs each Wednesday afternoon from 2pm – 7pm and Early Years runs each Thursday Afternoon from 2pm – 7pm (Term time only)
Successful completion of this two year course will give you a Foundation Degree qualification.
Develop your academic writing, personal and professional skills.
Gain confidence and improved understanding of your role and wider contexts.
Study further towards a BA Honours degree and Postgraduate Programmes.
Develop reflective practitioner and researcher skills and apply these into your work.
LSA’s and Teaching Assistants with a relevant level 3 qualification. You must be working in an educational setting for at least 16 hours a week.
