Description 
The EHA for children and young people is a key part of the strategy to shift the focus from dealing with the consequences of difficulties in children's lives to preventing things from going wrong in the first place. It is a national approach to conducting an assessment of the needs of a child or young person and deciding how those needs should be met.

An e-learning course must be completed first; joining instructions will be provided at the time of booking.

Outline 

Suitable for Teachers, SENCOs, Early Years Practitioners, Social Inclusion Leads, Learning mentors and any other practitioner who supports families with children and young people aged 0 to 19 and up to 25 with a disability, who wants to better understand the EHA process, formerly known as CAF.

Outcome 

By the end of the day delegates will:

Gain an understanding of the national policy and local arrangements for information sharing
Be able to use the EHA to identify, understand and implement plans to meet the additional needs of children and young people
Be able to coordinate plans as the lead professional
Feel more confident working within the processes of the EHA.
