Outline:

Practitioners will:
• Develop knowledge of the EYFS profile principles and processes
• Consider how evidence for understanding the world (UW) and expressive arts and design (EAD) can be observed
• Identify ways to develop provision to support assessment of the focus areas.
• Consider ways to engage parents in sharing children’s achievements beyond the school environment
• Use a range of materials including national exemplifications to support and discuss practitioner’s own evidence which supports judgements towards EYFS development stages

Description:

The STA recommend that local authorities provide EYFS profile training to support practitioners complete an accurate profile record. This training will support NQT practitioners and those new to reception to complete the EYFS profile

Outcome:

Participants will leave with:
• Understanding of the principles and processes of the EYFS profile
• Develop confidence in completing accurate profiles for children
