Outline:

• How parents can support children’s language development
• How practitioners can engage parents in their children’s learning
• Introduction to the Talk2gether toolkit for parents
• How to use the toolkit in your setting and evaluate outcomes for children

Description:

This interactive session will discuss the importance of engaging parents in their child’s language development and look at research on the best ways to do this. Practitioners will be introduced to the Talk2gether toolkit and plan how they can use it with parents within their setting.

Outcome:

Practitioners will gain up to date knowledge and practical ways to engage parents in their child’s early language development.
