Outline:
The half day course will enable participants to:
- Develop their understanding of the reasons why pupils with SEND need additional preparations for transition to secondary school
- Look at a range of strategies which can be used to help prepare pupils with SEND for the move from primary to secondary school
- To share ideas and experiences to affect good, consistent practice for all pupils, including those with SEND
- To be introduced to a range of resources aimed at helping pupils achieve successful transitions
Description:
Participants need to come with a pupil in mind, during the day they will produce an individualised BSP this pupil will be ready to take back to school to implement.
Audience:
This course is suitable for professionals (SENCos, Teachers, TAs) working with pupils with challenging behaviour in primary or secondary schools (mainstream or special setting).
