Outline:

This training session is part of the Early Years Teaching and Learning Training Framework and Prospects Services Ltd will be leading the session on how to develop practitioners’ understanding of what self-regulation is

Description:

The course will:

  • Explore the aspects of early child development which contribute to the establishment of self-regulation.
  • Develop awareness of the adult’s role in supporting children’ self-regulation.
  • Provide practitioners with practical experiences and activities to promote children’s self-regulation.
  • Provide practitioners with examples of how to plan for a soothing and stimulating environment for healthy brain development.

Please note - there is also a morning training session here for Childminders run by Prospects Services Ltd on Parent Partnership if you want to make a day of it!

Outcome:

Practitioners will feel confident in all aspects of early child development which contribute to the establishment of self-regulation.

Priority will be given to Childminders, however, Early Years Practitioners from Schools and PVIs are also welcome to apply
