This two part course will cover various aspects of your new role as a school governor and provide you with the information and tools to enable you to attend meetings and provide appropriate support and challenge.
There will be opportunities for discussion and sharing of good practice throughout both sessions.

An overview of the main issues for schools in managing these related areas, including:
• Looking at some areas in more detail including legislation
• Tools and sources of information, advice and guidance for schools and parents and
carers
• How this relates to the curriculum
• Ofsted expectations
• How governors can help and next steps

To provide governors with key information in this important area for schools to address.
