Outline:

• A practical one day course providing you with a toolkit to use to manage behaviour
• Primary focus is for individuals with ASD and SEND but can be adapted for any setting or individual
• It adopts a preventative and positive approach to intervention
• Delegates will have practical experience of completing each stage in readiness for use within their own settings.

• The 5P Approach asks you to THINK DIFFERENTLY about behaviour
• The 5P Approach focuses on prevention rather than reaction
• The 5P Approach focuses on meeting needs, ensuring wellbeing and empowering the individual
• The 5P Approach focuses on teamwork, consistency and continuity
• The 5P Approach focuses on problem solving and finding solutions
• The 5P Approach focuses on HOW rather then WHAT
• The 5P Approach focuses on learning from experience and moving forward

Outcome:

Delegates will be introduced to a range of practical resources and strategies which form the 5P Approach
All delegates will receive electronic copies of 5P resources to use in their settings

Audience:

The course is particularly suitable for teachers and other professionals working with individuals with ASD and /or SEND. The solution based framework is applicable to all school ages
