Outline:

This is the first of three courses on schools financial management. Each can be taken in isolation; however, it is beneficial to attend all three to build up an all-round overview of the schools financial cycle. These courses are designed to give governors confidence when dealing with schools financial matters.

Description:

This session will explore questioning and challenging for budget monitoring. The session will look at second quarter budget monitoring reports and discuss practical examples of presenting and reading financial information.

Outcome:

Helps governors fulfil their role of overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure the school’s money is well spent

Booking information:

Every participant is requested to send copies of their second quarter budget monitoring report presented to the Finance Committee/Governing Board with notes to Donna Walton to help personalise the training a minimum of a week before the training.
