Outline:
To provide delegates with an understanding of workplace fire risks, fire prevention, action to be taken in an emergency. Fire responsibilities as an employee and of Fire Marshals.
Description:
By the end of the course, delegates will be able to understand:
• how fires start – the fire triangle
• main causes of fire
• fire development and spread
• fire preventions and precautions
• fire detection and warning systems
• key requirements of an evacuation plan
• basic fire fighting equipment awareness
• Fire Marshal day to day responsibilities
• Fire Marshal action in an emergency
Audience:
Managers with fire responsibilities, all staff (to raise awareness), staff with Fire Marshal/Warden responsibilities.
