Outline:

Description:

The course will offer step by step guidance on how school staff can deploy strategies to develop pupil’s social, communication and group workskills which have been found in academic research to benefit pupil’s academic performance, behaviour and motivation. The session will aim to support staff to create inclusive classroom culture and will include problem solving activities that identify and address challenges.

Outcome:

Staff will gain knowledge of how to promote effective group work including
• How to organise the classroom and groups
• How to develop pupils group work skills
• How to plan activities and tasks
• Roles for adults supporting group work

Audience:

All primary school staff including teachers, teaching assistants and SENCO’s in Mainstream Primary Schools.
