Outline:

The Early Help Service works in partnership with other professionals, parents and carers to intervene early in a child's life to ensure that children have the best start in life. The service works with families that need additional help, to enable them to access this support when they need it. The aim is to address problems at the earliest opportunity - before they can escalate - and to enable families to support their children to reach their full potential.

Description:

Key aims of the session:
• The course will give you the chance to learn more about the core tasks and processes of the Family Partnership Model.
• Our aim is for the course to offer a safe, reflective opportunity in which you can explore, confirm and develop your own understanding and practice of the helping process.

Outcome:

• An attendance certificate will be provided at the end of the course. Since the course builds session by session and is experiential, most will be gained by attending all sessions and completion is considered to be attendance at 8 sessions or above.
• Some of our courses are also accredited by Open College Network and if this is the case, we will also provide you with information about the accreditation process.
• Please have a look at the Centre’s website http://www.cpcs.org.uk for further information about research and for other aspects of the Family Partnership Model
