Outline:

• To understand the importance of joint attention as a precursor to learning
• How to develop attention for children with reduced social engagement
• Strategies to engage the young child to maintain interests in the adult

Description:

This half day course introduces and uses techniques from a variety of sources to give practical strategies and ideas to promote early attention skills.

Outcome:

EY practitioners will be more confident and able to address the needs of children who have a social communication difficulty by using clear, simple and effective means.
