To raise awareness of the dangers associated with hazardous substances and the practical steps that can be taken to minimise and control the risks that hazardous substances present. The course covers the main hazards, applicable legislation, risk assessment, risk reduction measures and key responsibilities of the individual and organisation.

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to understand:
