Childminder Drop-in Training– Health & Development Reviews (ASQs) Session One

Participants will gain knowledge of their local Health visiting teams, and the role that they play in assessing children's health, growth and development, as well as an understanding of the assessment tools used.
Participants will be invited to explore how we can work together to identify children's progress, strengths and needs in order to promote positive outcomes in health and wellbeing, learning and behaviour
• To have an overview of the Healthy Child Programme and what contacts children and families are offered
• To have knowledge of the assessments used by the team including the Ages and Stages Questionnaires (ASQ 3 and ASQ SE)
• To identify how to work in partnership with other professionals to support a child’s health, growth and developmental needs
This training will take place during the usual Childminder Drop-in session and will be repeated twice. Please ensure you book on to the correct session – either session one or session two.
If you are attending with children it is YOUR responsibility to arrange with another Childminder/s to supervise your children while you are in the training. You will also need to ensure you have permission from every child’s parents for them to be supervised by another childminder while you are in the training.

If you fail to do this a minimum of 48 hours before the training you will not be able to take part.
