Summary

We are trained Educational Psychologists registered with HCPC (Health Care Professional Council). We work with children and young people from 0-25 in partnership with young people, families, schools, practitioners and voluntary agencies.

Educational Psychologists offer focused support informed by sound psychological theory to bring about positive change with regard to improving learning, regulating behaviour, managing emotions and developing interaction and communication skills.

Our aim is to promote and facilitate the educational, social and emotional development of children and young people.

At the beginning of the financial year we offer schools and settings the opportunity to buy what they need in advance, at a discounted rate. This might range from 6-30 visits per year depending on the size of the school. A session is 6 hours and typically consists of 3 hours in school and 3 hours follow up/support work. Depending on our capacity, schools may be able to buy in additional visits during the year.

We offer tailored comprehensive individual assessments and follow-up work with clear outcomes and evaluations and bespoke training/workshops for school staff / workshops for school staff, practitioners and parents/carers. We work with groups of children/young people to facilitate emotional and social development e.g. well-being, mental health, building resilience, developing self-confidence, communication and interaction skills. Our strategic work with schools/provisions assists with the development of effective Special Education Practice. Supporting EHC plans from initiation, we provide evidence, plan review cycles and transitions from statements to EHC plans. We will supervise staff both as a group and on an individual basis. We also provide a Parent Drop In for monthly free service for parent/carers who can book a half-hour slot to discuss concerns as well as a Critical Incident Service, a free service to schools and settings in the event of a critical incident to support staff and pupils.
