This course provides an introductory overview of safeguarding and child protection and

• An introduction to how safeguarding legislation has developed.
• An understanding of what safeguarding is and how it is implemented in schools.
• Promotion of the understanding of statutory safeguarding functions.
• An understanding of Duty of Care responsibilities.
• Effectively plan for, monitor and challenge senior leadership and staff to excel in their safeguarding arrangements by communicating and implementing a vision for outstanding safeguarding and best practice.
