Supporting Reception aged children’s mathematical development in the EYFS
• explore how to maximise opportunities to support children’s mathematical development, with number, space, shape and measures
• consider ways to develop the environment to support mathematical development, indoors and outdoors
• reflect on how everyday routines and the organisation can support mathematical learning
• explore the role of the adult including mathematical language
• reflect on their current practice, identify strengths and areas for further development
• share a range of practical, simple ideas and resources to support, motivate and engage children (and practitioners!)

This course is aimed at practitioners working with children aged four and five in either reception classes or nurseries. Penny Cartwright (EYFS Consultant) will be leading this session.
