Outline
A team around the family meeting (TAF) brings together children, young people, parents and practitioners and its function is to ensure families have an equal role in agreeing goals and actions that reflect identified need. A TAF allows information to be shared and ensures services are coordinated and reviewed.
Outcome
By the end of the day delegates will:
• Gain an understanding of the format of a TAF meeting
• Have an opportunity to practise chairing a TAF meeting
• Feel more confident working within the process of a TAF
Audience
Suitable for Teachers, SENCOs, Early Years Practitioners, Social Inclusion Leads, Learning mentors and any other practitioner who supports families with children and young people.
