Team around the Family (TAF) Training

Description
A TAF is a meeting that brings together children, young people, parents and practitioners and its function is to ensure families have an equal role in agreeing goals and actions that reflect the needs identified. A TAF allows information to be shared and ensures services are coordinated so that effective action and outcomes are properly planned, delivered and reviewed.

Outline
Suitable for Teachers, SENCOs, Early Years Practitioners, Social Inclusion Leads, Learning mentors and any other practitioner who supports families with children and young people aged 0 to 19 and up to 25 with a disability, who wants to better understand the TAF process.
Outcome
By the end of the day delegates will:
Gain an understanding of the format of a TAF meeting
Have an opportunity to practise chairing a TAF meeting
Feel more confident working within the processes of TAF.
