Digital Resilience - WRAP Training

Guidance for Schools & Colleges

WRAP stands for Workshop to Raise Awareness of Prevent. It is designed for practitioners who have little or no knowledge of the preventing extremism agenda, but who work with vulnerable young people or communities.

It is designed to:

  • Give you an understanding of the Prevent Agenda and allow you to identify your role within it.
  • Develop your existing expertise and professional judgement to recognise individuals who may be vulnerable to radicalisation.
  • Receive a clear picture of the risks and threats both nationally and here in Waltham Forest.
  • Develop knowledge and confidence to discuss grievances.

We currently deliver WRAP 3 in a 1 hour session, either through the INSET or twilight format, depending on your requirements.  All sessions are FREE. For more information and to request delivery in your school or institution email Sean.Thomson@walthamforest.gov.uk or call 0208 496 3447. Please ensure you also keep an eye out for related events and training on The Hub.
