The conversation, looks at the idea of unconsious bias, helping us to understand that despite what we try to achieve in terms of being gender neutral, our own past experiences may in fact cause us to show bias that we were not even aware of.

Stonewall has produced a freely downloadable guide "Getting Started, Celebrating Difference and Challenging Gender Stereotypes in the Early Years Foundation Stage".

Specifically for early years settings, the Stonewall guide draws on experience to provide practical ideas, prompts and reflections for early year's settings to be inclusive of gender and of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in your setting.
