Share your stories, pictures and videos with Waltham Forest's education community

The part you play in making the news in Waltham Forest is very important. We are always interested in receiving news stories from schools, early years settings and other education professionals in the Borough.

If you wish to submit a news story for us to publish on The Hub for the wider education community to read, please draft something that is as interesting, informative, authoritative and readable as possible. Ideally stories should be no more than 400 words.

As well as featuring the story in our News and Briefings section, we will also include it in our fortnightly e-newsletter, which is sent to all of our registered users (so includes professionals from the vast majority of all schools and Ofsted-registered settings in Waltham Forest). If you do want it to go out in the e-newsletter as well, in addition to your main news story, please draft a shorter blurb for the newsletter of no more than 100 words, drawing readers' attention to the main article. Please read some of our past e-newsletters to make sure your blurb has a similar style, tone and format to those previously written.

Send in your stories

Email your stories to thehub@walthamforest.gov.uk, along with any accompanying pictures, video or audio.

If we use your material we will publish your contact details, as you provide them, to indicate the source of the article. We will always indicate the source, but you can ask us not to display your email address, phone number etc.

The Hub reserves the right to edit your article. Please note that not all submissions will be published on the site. The decision will be at the discretion of the website administrator.

Submission deadlines for future editions of the e-newsletter are:

  • Monday 16 October for Wednesday 18 October edition
  • Monday 30 October for Wednesday 1 November edition
  • Monday 13 November for Wednesday 15 November edition
  • Monday 27 November for Wednesday 29 November edition
  • Monday 11 December for Wednesday 13 December edition
